Savings will often be used for example when an item has been quoted to be repaired in-house and it is found that it is better to outsource the work as "Outwork" In such an example a saving for the entire Repair line will be passed and an Extra item for the Outwork would be loaded.
Pass a Saving
In the Jobcards (In-Progress) window, highlight the open job you would like to add the saving for and click on the Change button. The Update a Jobcard window will now be displayed.
Now click on the Pass a Saving button and the _Add a saving on a Job _window will be displayed.
Enter the Savings Type, upon which the appropriate section will become available to edit. If you choose Outwork or Repair, The system will automatically start to create an Extra for the Line item. Add Extra as required. Once completed, click the OK button to adjust the job card.
